James Gilbert is a retiree over the age of 70 who got excited about woodwork after he retired. James' grandson asked him to make a dollhouse with lots of windows and doors and, of course, furniture. From this project, James’s childhood passion for wood crafting, which had been buried under other hustle and bustle during James ’IT career, came to mind. While making a dollhouse, James met Chris, who made handmade guitars. Chris taught James the differences between different types of wood and the secrets of woodworking. Soon after various wood craft projects, James began making pencils that are timeless and classically stylish. All James pens are easy to replace and last forever.
