Leather gloves give the wearer a polished and stylish impression. In addition to their appearance, high-quality gloves feel soft and well-fitting on the hand, and with proper care, they only get better over time.

The most commonly used materials for gloves are sheepskin or deerskin, but other leathers are also used. Gloves made from sheep can be recognized by their smooth, slightly shiny surface, inward-stitched seams, and more affordable price tag. Gloves made from deer are a bit rougher than those made from sheep; they have outward seams and a slightly more textured and matte surface. Especially in gloves made from deer, there are often hand-made stitches that add a nice touch to the appearance. Deer is a slightly stronger and higher-quality material, so the more valuable material is also reflected in the final product's price. 

A quality glove can be recognized by its material, good fit, and refined details.  details. A good glove has a so-called diamond piece between the fingers, which ensures a good fit and finger mobility, giving the glove a long lifespan. 

Handmade finishes, such as stitching, often reveal that the glove has been crafted with great care. 

As a rule of thumb when choosing a leather glove, you could consider selecting one that is slightly snug when purchasing, as the glove will sort of melt to your hand in use, conforming to the shape of your hand.
